SEAAHEC and the City of Montgomery's Department of Community Development partner to empower unhoused individuals through Homeless Mobility Units health literacy education with the help of Community Health Workers.
Text: SEAAHEC's Health Literacy Program CHWs were out and about today supporting the City of Montgomery's Homeless Mobility Units. They were joined by, Adena Kramer, Project Lead, with the City's Department of Community Development and Netflix producers and camera crew, who were onsite to capture content for an upcoming project.
The Homeless Mobility Units are currently open Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 506 Montgomery Street. The units offer bathroom access, showers, and laundry facilities for unhoused individuals.
We are honored to be a part of such an amazing initiative to promote community wellness by increasing access to services and education, empowering healthier communities.
